ABOUT ME

Lolita Nguyen

Educational Leader/Early Childhood Teacher

Teaching children is my passion, and building secure, trusting relationships with children, families, and the wider community is central to my practice. I value and respect cultural diversity and recognise that all children are unique, capable learners with individual interests, backgrounds, and developmental stages. My role as an educator is to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports each child’s strengths and promotes their learning and development. I view the environment as the third teacher, offering opportunities for children to explore, discover, create, and connect with the natural world.

I believe children learn best through play and when they are given choices, responsibilities, and opportunities to initiate their own learning. I plan child-centred, developmentally appropriate experiences that are meaningful, engaging, and challenging yet achievable, supporting children to develop independence, confidence, agency, and positive social interactions. My practice is informed by the theories of Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotsky and is guided by reflective, research-based approaches to support children’s learning and development.
